Academic Award
PURPOSE
The general objective of the Newfoundland & Labrador Nurses Respiratory Society (NLNRS) Academic Award is to provide financial assistance to registered nurses who wish to pursue research, projects, and academic activities in the field of respiratory nursing.
VALUE
One award, valued at $300.00, will be given annually.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must be registered nurses who:
- hold a current practicing license with the ARNNL.
- are members of the NLNRS.
- are pursuing studies (i.e., research, projects, academic activities) in the field of respiratory nursing. Preference will be given to applicants who are enrolled in a graduate program in nursing.
- have received written approval for their study from an established ethics review committee (if applicable).
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
1. Two copies of the following:
(i) A summary of the proposed study, including a statement of the problem, purpose
and significance of the study, and methodology (maximum 3 pages)
(ii) A resume and current address.
2. A photocopy of ARNNL registration
3. A photocopy of NLNRS membership
4. A photocopy of written approval from an established ethics review committee for the
study (if applicable)
6. Completed applications must be received by November 1st of any given year.
